For over 20 years, Helenann Shapiro, L.C.S.W. has assisted families dealing with high-conflict divorce. By addressing the parents' and children’s emotional needs, educating families about the effects of divorce on the family dynamic, and providing supportive therapy she helps them through this difficult life transition.
Practical aspects of divorce are addressed through creating parenting plans and offering assistance with referrals and community resources. Since 1992, Ms. Shapiro has worked for the Eleventh Circuit Family Court Division, providing direct services to more than 1,000 families through the divorce process. Ms. Shapiro‘s additional expertise centers on repairing all types of relationships including family, marital, work related and general interpersonal interactions.

Helenann Shapiro L.C.S.W., a Florida Supreme Court Certified Family Mediator and licensed psychotherapist, currently has a private practice in Coconut Grove, Florida. Ms. Shapiro specializes in marriage counseling, parenting coordination, collaborative law, creating parenting plans, high conflict divorce, as well as individual and family counseling. Ms. Shapiro also serves on the Eleventh Circuit Parenting Coordination Collaborative committee and has lectured extensively on various topics that address parents and children’s issues surrounding divorce.
